The company
The FILOPUR Company was founded in Basle / Switzerland 1972. Filopur began manufacturing operations after several years of research and development on an affordable, portable and compact filtration system to purify water for human consumption. The primary focus during the 70’s through the 80’s was the emerging countries, where drinking water quality is far behind the WHO standards. The patented filter media was unique and set new standards in terms of its compact size, reliability and high performance.
Still today the proprietary filter media is the heart of each FILOPUR purifier.
The products have been continually perfected through research and development to meet the needs of our key markets. The customer focus is now targeted toward households, primarily in developed countries.
Today we are offering a well balanced range of filters and cartridges. Next to our standard range we design and manufacture tailor-made solutions for specific markets.
