Performance and replacement of Filters and Cartridges

The life of the FILOPUR® filter C1 depends entirely on the quality and quantity of the water to be filtered and on the existing pressure. The water flow declines continually because of the suspended solids / microorganisms in the water. Once the flow rate drops below 0,3 l/min. or when the physical aspects (turbidity, colour, odour, taste) of the water starts to deteriorate the C1 filter elements need to be exchanged.

Typically the FILOPUR® C1 filter will last for 4 - 6 months, the volumetric capacity being around 2000 litres before exhaustion. In the case of extremely critical water conditions and temperatures above 20°C, the filter needs to be replaced more often. The table below indicates relative performance and shows when to use either the C1B or C1G filter element.

Ideal conditions of use with high performance

The installation of a sediment pre-filter (5-10mm) is strongly recommended.

The use of the C1G is not recommended, since in the case of these large filtering volumes the   retention capacity for harmful chemical substances might be exceeded.
